CYK Hospitalities is a fast-moving workplace, and let’s be honest, our Gen Z squad is a big reason why. A huge part of our team (and even a few departments!) is proudly powered and led by Gen Z. So yes, the energy is high, the ideas come fast, and the Google Docs sometimes have more colours than a Holi palette. Between our Operations team juggling daily chaos, our Chefs experimenting with dishes like they’re shooting MasterChef, our Graphic Designers fighting for font justice, our Digital Marketers chasing trends before they expire, and our Business Development and Leasing teams negotiating like seasoned diplomats, things move really quickly.
But we don’t see this pace as pressure; it’s more like our shared group dance. Sometimes we’re in sync, sometimes someone is off-beat, but somehow it always turns into a great performance. The best part? Everyone shows up for each other. If someone is stuck with a last-minute creative, needs support during a tricky operation, or gets thrown an urgent client request at 6:59 PM, there’s always another team member ready to jump in (usually with a “Let’s do it” or “Arre, ho jaayega yaar”).
At the same time, we genuinely care about people. If someone works late, they get their break. If someone is dealing with personal issues, we pause, we support, and we adjust. We believe in being fast, not harsh; smart, not stressed; and collaborative, not chaotic, well, okay, sometimes a little chaotic, but in a fun, “we’re in this together” way.
Our philosophy is simple: celebrate the speed and creativity Gen Z brings, keep the work dynamic, but always protect the people who make it happen. At CYK, we don’t just run departments; we run on teamwork, humour, and a whole lot of heart.
